The compact size of 10ft containers make them very appealing to locations where space is at a premium. Not only can these containers be used for secure site storage, but they can be converted for a number of applications. For instance they can be used for secure process enclosures, chemical stores, site cabins, archiving rooms, and toilets. Also popular is the installation of roller shutters, bunds, turnstiles, windows and doors.

Even though standard new and used 10ft containers are not suitable for shipping, they can be purpose built for this application. By the nature of their construction 10ft containers will be supplied with flat panel or cargo doors and will often be repainted and fitted with a lock box.  10ft containers are also available as site accommodation and high cubes. Other than the 10ft length, these containers conform with the 8ft width and 8ft 6ins height of standard shipping containers though they are also available as high cube units providing 9ft 6ins of height. We provide nationwide delivery and have 10ft container stock held in our various depots in the East Midlands, East of England, London, North East England, North West England, Scotland, South East England, South West England, Staffordshire, West Midlands, Wales and Yorkshire and Humber. Shipping containers are available as new or used (a grade) and are 8ft wide as standard in order to meet ISO (International Shipping) regulations, these tough regulations ensure that the ISO container supplied meets strict design and manufacturing standards to provide a high quality, fit for purpose shipping container.

The container industry describes a new 10ft storage container as a steel unit which has been loaded with cargo at its place of manufacture, transported  to the UK and then sold to the domestic market. However, as 10ft containers are not shippable, they are often cut down from 20ft or 40ft containers with doors added to one end. Alternatively, they can be transported as cargo inside larger containers. If aesthetics are of primary importance and you are storing goods that require a clean, neat and tidy environment, this is the best container type you can purchase. They are more expensive than used 10ft containers but their lifespan is significantly longer and the cost difference is relatively minor. They usually come with a high security lockbox as standard, to improve security and protect your padlock. They come with either marine ply or bamboo floors as standard and usually have four small vents for air circulation. New 10ft containers will always be structurally sound and weather proof.

All of our 10ft used containers are good quality, wind and water tight and perfect for domestic storage. If aesthetics are not of primary concern, these containers are ideal, they also present a more cost effective alternative to new containers. 10ft used containers do not normally come complete with a high security lockbox as standard, however, one can be fitted for a nominal fee. 10ft used containers are always weather proof and structurally sound. They can be upgraded in order to be suitable for shipping if required. They usually have marine ply or bamboo flooring as standard with four vents for air circulation.

10ft containers are cut down from 20ft containers to create a more compact and convenient storage unit. We can also provide 10ft high cube containers which are the ideal solution when the 8ft 6inch height of a standard container is simply not enough.
