What is your job role?

Apart from head cook and bottle washer haha, officially I am the accounts manager. 


How long have you been working there?

Nearly 14 years.

I think I was having my 5th birthday party around then haha

How long have the company been going for?

Since 1948.

What type of vehicles do you have?

Vehicles range from 7.5 tonne up to 44 tonne artics.


How many vehicles do you have?

Altogether about 10.


Have you ever driven a vehicle?

Only a car haha.

Have you any funny stories from your drivers?

Quite a few haha most of which are unrepeatable. Our other driver when he used to work here, his name was Two Bob, he went to do a job where he had to take a piece of stone which was going to be put on a plinth in this stately home. When the lady came out she was that pleased with him that she offered him a piece of silverware that they were disposing of, and he actually got a silver platter.

Aah so he got the silver spoon then haha

Absolutely yeah haha.

Fair enough, whenever I used to go out to customers I used to get Jaffa Cakes and biscuits haha

More than I got haha.


What’s the most difficult delivery you have ever had to do.

I don’t know as there are quite a few. Nipper is a good driver, and there have been a few where he has had to get containers into really tight spaces. So if anything needs doing that’s a little bit awkward we tend to send Nipper out for that. There have been quite a few that have been out of the norm if you like, for want of a better expression.


Would you ever consider buying a container from us?

I believe we may have done in the past. We certainly hire them from yourselves.


What do you use them for?

Only storage basically. We do use shipping containers occasionally for shipping cranes onto continents, not for anything fancy.


Are there any comments you would like to add?

I would just like to say what a pleasure it is, honestly and truthfully, dealing with girls that are always happy go lucky and generally know what you’re talking about, and if you don’t are not afraid to ask questions.
