Next weekend at Dover Castle, we will be turning medieval again! The George and the dragon event will be held at Dover castle again this year. Its a great chance to re-live the story of St Georges day. There will be special workshops for kids to enjoy storytelling and circus skills. So what does this have to do with containers?
We have several uses for our containers at such a big event. The most obvious use would be storage for all the items that will be used on the day. Since kids will be able to defeat the deadly dragon by wearing armour, it would be a great place to store all the armour. You could even use the container as a changing room. With how long people will be at the event, everyone will need to use the restroom eventually. We could convert a container into a toilet, or even several containers for several toilets. What are the possible delivery issues? The most obvious issue with the delivery (since its going to a big medieval castle) is grass. We always have a way around these issues in order to get delivery done though! Sometimes we will drive over grass in the summer when the dirt is dry, however with April showers; this wouldnt be an option in this case. We can also supply boards for the driver to drive over. If there were worries about the container being placed directly on the grass, we could also provide jacklegs to keep the container stable. There is also the possibility of placing slabs down for the container to be placed on. We could also consider placing trackway for the driver to driver over if they have to go a long distance over grass.
