Hello everyone, my fellow apprentices and I are the newest addition to the Lion Containers Ltd team and I for one can say that I am loving it. I was previously at college where I was doing the same old thing, revising and paperwork. I wasnt enjoying this and started searching for something which consisted of a variety of aspects and introduced something new and exciting every day.
?So I began applying for apprenticeships and was put forward for an interview at Lion Containers. The moment I walked in I knew that this was a company that would be great to work for. We were deeply informed from the start about the role and I found it so interesting. Having never heard of anything about converting containers before, and finding out about the many different things that can and has been done by Lion Containers blew my mind. Being told about the exciting challenges we would face throughout this role just made me want the job even more. It was 2 weeks before I heard anything back which made me think I had missed the opportunity, but I received the phone call to tell me that I had been successful and was offered the placement. I was ecstatic of course, and agreed with no hesitation. Nerves were high on my first day but everyone was very warm and welcoming. I had zero knowledge about containers or sales with this being my first job so I was off to a difficult start. This was soon an issue I forgot about as I was provided with all the resources that I needed to learn about the complex field of containers and conversions. My confidence is now high with knowledge about container sizes, accessories, conversions and much more and cant wait to build on this. |
I find it very fascinating and I love the projects that have been done, my favourite has got to be the containers for the Commonwealth games as I think that containers look very effective as pop up shops with roller serving hatches and they definitely fulfill their purpose in a much more cost effective way. They are also very adaptable as they can be moved around and look wonderful coming in a variety of colours, I think the orange used here is very bright and welcoming.

?I am still getting to grips with the role after only being here a weeks on training, but I am so excited for what the future holds and hope to become very efficient in sales and to achieve goals and go far with which I believe are my best chances with Lion Containers who are ever growing. For now however I am finally doing something that I enjoy, and wake up every day excited and looking forward for what is in store.
