Even shipping containers are doing their bit to help prevent further flood damage in England. Many areas of the country has been devastated by rising water levels, and one of the worst hit is Dawlish in Devon. Containers filled with stones are being used as a temporary breakwater along the seafront. Network Rail is building the metal and stone wall at the seafront where the rails were washed away, and it is hoped that the structure will prevent further damage and allow workmen to repair the rail link to Plymouth.
