Cladded Primary School Classroom Container
Lion converted two 20ft shipping containers and then connected them to make one big classroom. The top goal for this project, as shared by us and the client, was to create a positive learning environment as it directly impacts students’ success. We fitted this classroom conversion with large bi-folding French doors to allow maximum natural light. Timber cladding was added to blend the shipping container classroom with its surroundings.

School Learning Lab Container
Lion created a learning lab for another school with two top quality used 20ft containers. We linked the two shipping containers together to create an open space. This learning lab, much like a shipping container classroom, is designed for children with behavioural difficulties. Therefore, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere was of utmost importance. This shipping container learning lab was fitted with three large windows and additional French windows to ensure natural light and ventilation. Timber cladding was also fitted to the exterior.

School Art Gallery Containers
A London primary school required an art gallery made from shipping containers. For this purpose, we utilised four 20ft high cube containers to create a single-storeyed open space. Lion Containers worked with an architect to bring the school’s vision to life. Lion installed custom-built aluminium fixed frames and skylights along with aluminium sliding doors for entry and exit. We also created a kitchenette for the resident artist. As suggested by the architect, we utilised a track lighting system.
