20ft new (once shipped) container in a blue colour to be lined and
insulated with 9mm melamine faced chipboard over a 50mm cavity slab between 50mm timber baton stud frame. This was perfect for the use of the container as it is easy to wipe clean, allowed a balanced room temperature and reduced condensation.
It continues with a bespoke unistrut adjustable
shelving system, which would be fitted to one full length of the internal side wall and 3800mm of the opposite side wall. Each shelving system had 4 tiers and enough space in between to hold the size of their sails, not only did this bespoke shelving have enough space but they were strong enough to hold the weight. Each sail weighed approximately the same as an average human being, but dont worry they werent storing people, it was definitely sails!
anti-corrosive lights, a switch, and 2 x 13amp sockets to enable them to plug in their de-humidifier. As well as this we supplied a 2Kw wall mounted convector heater and an extractor fan. This allowed a better source of air flow and all came with appropriate electrical inlets, outlets and protection. Ned then required 2m of free space for a custom clothing rail to be fitted to the internal right hand corner of the container. This was for hanging fair-weather clothing. We had to bear in mind this container was going on the back off a ship, so we stayed within the ISO footprint and made sure every external modification was recessed and suitable for shipping.
There you have it, a bespoke sail storage unit with an adjustable shelving system which can be adjusted to any size you require. If you have similar project, please dont hesitate to call 0333 600 6260 to discuss your project with our friendly sales team.
