Wrap Kings recently created and fitted a new digital design/wrap for Lion Containers Ltd; two West Midlands companies working together to create an ECO environment.
We specialise in selling and converting shipping and storage containers, which is a form of recycling and upcycling in itself, helping to reduce the energy needed to source the raw non renewable material, therefore limiting the polluti
on that is produced. Wrap Kings did their part by using the new HP 360 Latex printer, a NON SOLVENT ink printer. One of the main advantages of this latex printer is that it is a greener technology than solvent, as 60% of the ink is water. Whereas solvent penetrates into the media, latex sits on top and doesn’t react in the same way, which is better for recyclability. Latex technologies do not emit hazardous VOCs, meaning a better working environment for the Wrap Kings staff and the customer. Digital print was printed on 3M IJ480 Envision, which promotes a NON PVC Vinyl, reducing dangerous toxins when heated in house. The latex has a different finish than solvent prints, with a more natural feel to it so a glossy substrate gives you a glossy finish (Jane Rixon – Business Manager, HP). Here at Lion Containers Ltd we are extremely happy with the wrap finish and fit, we have worked with Wrap Kings previously and look forward to working together in the future.
